Teaching
I am teaching the following two courses in Winter 2025. I highly recommend that students enroll in these courses early, as the class capacity may fill up soon.
COMPSCI 257. Brain-Inspired Learning Systems.
Introduces the latest developments in machine learning and cognitive computing algorithms inspired by the human brain. Includes examining various neural coding approaches for data representation and developing classification and reasoning algorithms that model human cognitive behavior.
COMPSCI 151. Digital Logic Design.
Boolean algebra. Design/analysis of combinational and sequential systems using SSI/MSI/LSI modules. Number systems. Error detecting and correction codes. Arithmetic algorithms. Hardware/ firmware implementation of algorithms. We will also cover how machine learning and Artificial intellignce algorithms are mapping into hardware.
